Tour Highlights
This tour combines the visit of the archaeological site of Pompeii with the ascent to Mount Vesuvius, the only active volcano on the European mainland.
Pompeii was buried in 79 A.D. by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk through ancient streets, forums, villas, baths, theaters and temples, discovering Roman daily life preserved for centuries.
The second stop is Mount Vesuvius. We will drive up to about 1,000 meters and from there you can walk to the crater, enjoying breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples.
The tour ends with a visit to a local winery on the slopes of Vesuvius, where you will taste the famous Lacryma Christi wine and enjoy a traditional lunch.
