Pompeii was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and today is one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will admire villas decorated with frescoes, the Amphitheatre, theatres, the Forum, temples, spas and ancient houses.
The second stop is the archaeological site of Herculaneum. Like Pompeii, it was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius, but preserved even more details thanks to the lava flow that hardened and sealed buildings and objects.
